When Centor began over 20 years ago, we knew we wanted to do things differently; to be the best insurance broker that we could possibly be. To make a profit, but not to the detriment to our community, environment, or staff. And so our journey began.
We firstly focused on our staff, for without them we don’t have a business that we can be proud of. To that end, we constantly invest in our employees, through training, well-being initiatives and have created what we like to think is an inclusive Centor family. Perhaps that is why most of our staff stay with us through the years, and why we’ve been recognised by Investors in People with platinum status and have been accredited by Great Places to Work for over 12 years.
We also like to share our energy and commitment with charities and causes close to our hearts. No one likes to talk about their charity work, but to suffice to say we hope that we give back. By doing so, we’re also rewarded.
The B-Corp journey began for us 6 years ago, and we were so proud to be acknowledged by them as a certified B-Corp business. Independently recognised as a business that is committed to putting people and the environment above profit. It’s why we started this journey, and why we will continue to ensure that we are committed to prioritising long-term values for all people and our planet, over short-term profits.
The journey is long, but if we all play our part, we can really make a difference to the world that we all share.
