Centor fundraising for BBC Children in Need

Centor - Children in Need

On the 29th November, Centor Insurance will once again be raising money for BBC Children in Need. This is the 11th year that the company has dedicated an entire day to fundraising for the charity and this year we have increased our fundraising target to £4,500.

On the Day

Once again, staff will come to work in fancy dress and take part in several fun activities to raise money for the charity.

Employees will partake in pay as you play games such as Wheel of Fortune, Office Treasure Hunt, Donut Eating Contest and the Centor 9-Dart Challenge. Both Directors and Managers will also be issued their own separate challenges, in which they will be competing against one another.

Commercial account manager Andy Hogan has kindly volunteered to have his legs waxed for the cause. During the waxing, Centor staff members will be given the opportunity to remove a wax strip for an additional contribution.

In the afternoon there will be a raffle and auction where employees will have the chance to win some excellent prizes – some of which have been kindly donated by clients, suppliers and insurance partners.

BBC Children in Need

BBC Children in Need works throughout the year to ensure that every child in the UK has a safe, happy, secure childhood and the chance to reach their full potential. The appeal relies on the commitment of thousands of fundraisers and supporters across the country who dedicate their time and money to putting on fundraising events.

Neil Walton, CEO, comments:

“Children in Need is a wonderful cause that gives so much to so many young people across the UK. We have decided to increase our fundraising target this year to £4,500 – a target that I’m sure is achievable with the commitment of our staff and the generosity of our clients and insurance partners.”
