46% increase to balcony fires in the last twelve months
The worrying statistic that there has been a 46% increase in balcony fires over the last twelve months comes from a report by balcony manufacturer AliDeck.
Their data outlines that 310 fires occurred on balconies between August 2021 and July 222, with 59% of them being caused by smoking. More details on their findings can be read here.
