Centor Insurance fundraising for BBC Children in Need for the 10th time

Centor Insurance & Risk Management staff will don silly costumes and play games on Friday 24th November, as they set out to fundraise for BBC Children in Need’s 2017 Appeal. Money raised will go on to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

This year will be the 10th time we’ve taken part in the Appeal and we’re using that as an opportunity to up our game. Staff will wear fancy dress and play games, including limbo, Wheel of Fortune, an Office Sweep and a doughnut-eating competition. In the afternoon, there’ll be a quiz, a raffle and an auction. We’ll pay to play the games and of course, buy the raffle tickets and bid on auction prizes in an effort to help Centor meet our goal of £3,000.

‘After a brief hiatus, we’re so pleased to be supporting Children in Need once again,’ Centor CEO Neil Walton says. ‘Giving back to our community in the form of volunteering and fundraising is an important part of how we do business, and Children in Need is an excellent way to get involved. It’s always a great day – we fundraise, we work together as a team and we have fun.’

BBC Children in Need works throughout the year to ensure that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood, and the chance to reach their full potential. It relies on the energy and commitment of thousands of fundraisers and supporters across the UK, who donate their time and money to put on events supporting the Appeal.

‘We’d like to raise as much as possible,’ Mr Walton says, ‘So we’d love our clients and insurer contacts to donate if they can.’

Centor will match the total amount raised so any donations are gratefully received. They can be made on our JustGiving page.
