Celebrating the 25th work anniversary of two members of the Centor Team

All

At the beginning of September we were delighted to celebrate the 25th Work anniversary of two much loved and valued members of the Centor Team.

Both Roger Wiseman and Richard Rouse joined Centor via legacy companies in 1989 – the year the Berlin Wall came down, Duran Duran were top of the hit parade, Sky TV was launched in the UK and Mrs Thatcher was still in power. Arsenal also won the league – gosh it really was a long time ago!

Roger (pictured above right), our vastly experienced Compliance Officer, has already celebrated 50 years in insurance and was honoured by the Chartered Insurance Institute with a special recognition award in 2012. Roger continues to provide great service to the business in his capacity as Compliance Officer and, in spite of his maturing years, has lost none of his rapier wit, much loved by all who have worked with him over the years. He is also held in great affection by many colleagues for having coached them through the torment of their Insurance Exams – all broking and claims staff at Centor being at least Certificate in Insurance qualified, or higher. Infuriatingly athletic still, he could run a marathon tomorrow if asked, and puts many members of the Team to shame at our local Virgin Active Gym.

Richard Rouse (above left) is our longest serving Commercial Account Director and joined Centor when it acquired the business of Peter Ruddy and Partners in 2002, where he had already given 13 years sterling service after returning to the UK from Australia where he grew up. Many of our commercial and corporate clients have been looked after by Richard for many years, and appreciate his “plain English” approach to insurance and personal dedicated service. Richard has been injured several times in the line of duty: some of which may have been caused under the influence, but no more for this reformed elder statesman and much loved member of the Team. “Good on ‘yer, Richard”.

Roger and Richard – we salute you and thank you both for your outstanding contributions to the business, and long may it continue!
