Centor named as one of the UK’s best workplaces for the 9th year in a row

Centor was proud last night to be named the 6th best small workplace in the UK.

This is four places higher than we were last year, when we came 10th in the same category. It covers businesses of between 20 and 49 people.

Published and organised by Great Places to Work, the results were announced at an awards ceremony at Tobacco Dock. It is the 9th consecutive year we have been in the top 15, a fantastic achievement.

CEO Neil Walton is pleased we have once again gained such a high ranking.

‘We always strive to make Centor a great place to work, because happy employees leads to happy customers. We want to make Centor a place where people feel valued, supported and challenged, and this shows we continue to do that.’

The results of an employee survey makes up two thirds of the final score to enter the ranking. The final third is calculated through a culture audit, which is a questionnaire used to evaluate the organisation’s HR and leadership practices, policies and culture.

We’re delighted with the results of our employee survey in particular, the highlights of which include 100% of our team members agreeing with the following statements:

  • ‘Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work.’
  • ‘Management has a clear view of where the organization is going and how to get there.’
  • ‘When I look at what we accomplish, I feel a sense of pride.’

Over 120 other UK businesses were recognised across the categories of small, medium and large organisations. Click here to see the full list of winners.
