50th Year Membership of the CII

Centor were delighted to receive from the Chartered Insurance Institute a certificate to celebrate the 50^th year membership for one of their most respected members of staff, Roger Wiseman,  ACII.

Roger, Centor’s compliance officer, joined the CII in 1962, when employed as a junior clerk by Norwich Union Fire Insurance Society Ltd. After several years working for insurers, he jumped ship to become a commercial broker and enjoyed a successful broker career with Bland Payne, Oakley Vaughan, Alfred Blackmore, Hanover and Christchurch – then from 1998 onwards Centor.

From 2005 onwards Roger assumed responsibility for Compliance once General Insurance became regulated by the FSA, and has also acted as Technical Officer and Training Officer, coaching countless employees through their CII exams. Roger was a key factor in Centor achieving Gold Investors in People accreditation in 2012.

There cannot be too many still working in the profession to have reached this milestone, and who remain as steadfastly enthusiastic in promoting the merits of CII training and membership as Roger.
