Why use a broker? |

Insurance Brokers are experienced professionals who will work on your behalf and find you the most appropriate cover to meet your insurance requirements. A broker will research the insurance market and find you the most appropriate cover at the most competitive price. Using their expert knowledge they ensure that you have adequate cover to meet the risks and exposures you are likely to face – including pointing out those you may not have thought of. It is the brokers’ job to negotiate with the insurance market on your behalf and to take all the hassle away from you. Brokers can access markets which are not widely available to the general public and can usually obtain cheaper terms, with wider cover, than might otherwise be available. Brokers can also advise you on risks which it may be better to retain or self-fund. Buying an insurance policy is not always the best solution and an expert broker can guide you through the various options available to protect your assets. It is also very comforting to have a broker on your side when it comes to making a claim – especially one with a specialist dedicated claims team like Centor, who exist to ensure that your claims are dealt with as quickly and with the minimum of fuss possible. Insurance Brokers are regulated by the FSA and are members of trade bodies such as the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA). BIBA set out codes of good practice and work with Chartered Insurance Institute to ensure good standards of training throughout the broking community. |
