The police response to my alarm has been withdrawn

Print E-mail

alarm1It is important to keep your insurers informed if the police response has been withdrawn from your alarm. The insurers need to been aware of any changes to your property so any changes to your alarm will need to be notified.

Most UK insurance policies have an alarm warranty which stipulates that the alarm must be fully set, operative and the police response must be in place in order for the insurers to pay the claim in full. If there is a problem with the alarm such as the police response being withdrawn then the insurers may look to apply co-insurance. The effect of this is to reduce the amount paid in the claim based on the attractiveness of you stock and contents, in some cases that can be as much as 50% of the claim.

To avoid the risk of a claim it is best to speak to your Centor Account Manager about any changes to your alarm.
