Changes to Air Conditioning Regulations

Any property owners should be aware already of their requirements to have large air conditioning units surveyed,  however the regulations are now changing to include smaller units as well. With effect from 4^th January 2011, all air conditioning systems with a capacity of more than 12kW will require a survey.

In the past the requirements were only for units with a capacity of 250kW or more, so the new regulations are going to affect many more properties.

Under the new regulations air conditioning units are required to be surveyed every five years. Along with the survey report you will also receive recommendations on how to run the system as effectively as possible, which would save you money in the long run.
