Neil commenced his broking career in Lloyd’s of London and was approached by Centor in the early nineties to head up the UK Commercial division of the company. Rising to Managing Director and responsible for a number of acquisitions, Neil was instrumental in a management buy out in 1998. Since then Neil has become the majority shareholder in the company and has been responsible for overseeing a threefold increase in the size of the business. Neil enjoys golf, sailing and jet skiing and is a member of several charity fundraising committees.

After training originally as a loss adjuster and surveyor, Paul entered the broking industry as Claims Director for the UK’s largest independently owned broking house in the early nineties. Paul was elevated to the main board of Centor following the management buy out in 1998, at which time he became a shareholder. Paul has responsibility for ensuring that the day to day operations of the business run smoothly, particularly in the areas of IT, Finance, Compliance and Claims. Married with 2 children, in his spare time Paul enjoys music, cooking and off the beaten track travel.

Chris joined Centor in March 2006 as part of the Corporate Risks Division launch team. Prior to this he spent 10 years within a national broking organization gaining experience in all aspects of corporate insurance and risk management. For the last 13 years he has worked as a Client Director responsible for the delivery of risk solutions to a portfolio of clients. Chris has responsibility for developing and maintaining a stunning service proposition throughout the broking divisions of Centor. Away from work Chris enjoys most sports, particularly rugby union, and the Cambridgeshire countryside.

David Stratton is Non-Executive Chairman of Centor. David has 30 plus years experience as a director of various insurance brokers. Having bought and sold two of these, culminating in the disposal of his majority shareholding interest in Centor in June 2004, David now provides support to the Centor board in his part-time role. David is also Executive Chairman of Sovereign Business Integration Plc, Westwood-Stratton Limited and Ausom Vehicle Management Limited. Away from work, David enjoys yachting, flying and snow skiing.

William joined the Centor Board in 2011. As a Partner at the solicitors, Bates Wells and Braithwaite since 1992, William brings a wealth of experience to the Board with a large portion of his work spent with Charity and Public Sector management and the remainder dedicated to industrial and City leaders. A keen sailor, William is a Trustee of the Tall Ships Youth Trust and is a member of the Hurlingham Club.

Centor welcomed Kerry back to Centor in February 2007, when she was appointed as Financial Controller. Kerry has 20 years experience in insurance broking accounting, the majority of which have been spent with Centor. Kerry is a member of the A.A.T. and also passed her Chartered Insurance Institute exams in order to gain insight to the technical aspects of broking. Outside of work, Kerry enjoys theatre, live music and gourmet cooking, which is her real passion.

Roger has over 40 years experience in the insurance industry, initially as an underwriter for Norwich Union but for the majority of the time with a number of leading broking houses, including over 20 years with Centor. Roger is an Associate of The Chartered Insurance Institute and is also responsible for all compliance matters following the advent of FSA regulation of the general insurance industry. Roger is an avid movie buff and still plays amateur football on a weekly basis.

Andrew has now taken on the new challenge of marketing. Outside of work Andrew is a keen squash player and is a supporter of Portsmouth FC.

Oriel has accumulated over 20 years commercial insurance experience. She spent her first few years working for the General Accident (now part of the Aviva group) before deciding that a career in broking would best fulfil her client oriented aspirations. She joined Centor in 1999 as Account Executive in the Commercial department and has since risen through the ranks to Divisional Manager and Associate Director. She is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and achieved Diploma accreditation in 2006. Outside of work she enjoys interior design projects, is an avid wine buff and a proud mother of one.

Away from insurance Chris likes to keep fit and healthy by taking part in various sports activities and is an experienced rock climber. As a martyr to habitual disappointment, he retains a season ticket at West Ham United and is also a keen cricket enthusiast.

Jared began his career in New Zealand, working with a wide cross section of commercial clients. Jared has particular experience in Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance having worked for the exclusive broker to the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants for several years. He is a senior associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance and is working towards cross-crediting this qualification in to the UK charted equivalent. His interests include music, football and, of course rugby - the fortunes of the mighty All Blacks being a particular passion.

Richard has worked in the insurance industry for over 25 years and has an extensive knowledge of the UK insurance market. He joined Centor in 2002, following their acquisition of Peter Ruddy & Partners (Insurance Brokers) Ltd, where Richard had worked since 1989. After helping integrate the Peter Ruddy clients within the Centor Group, he joined the Corporate Risks team at the beginning of 2007, applying his experience in assisting our corporate clients with insurance solutions to their UK and global operations. Richard is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Away from insurance, Richard enjoys music, travelling overseas, and following the fortunes of both Arsenal and Australian Rules team, West Coast Eagles.

After completing a BA Honours Degree in Geography, Phillip entered the insurance industry to work within a claims environment. After four years in both the public and commercial insurance sectors, he joined Centor in 2007, primarily as a Claims Negotiator, dealing with a wide array of claims. In 2008, Phillip took up an opportunity to join Centor's Property Division, where he is successfully developing his own portfolio of property clients. Outside of work Phillip's interests include music and he is a keen supporter of his home town football club, Southampton FC.

David is a keen golfer and still manages to play five a side football.

In 2009, Sam was a finalist in the UK Broker Awards category of Young Broker of the Year in recognition of his dedication to his clients. Outside of work Sam is an avid follower of the fortunes (or otherwise) of Tottenham Hotspur, and is a keen live music enthusiast.
